Green Lake Real Estate is an independent, locally owned company serving South Central Wisconsin. In the Beginning
Unlike most real estate companies, Green Lake Real Estate didn't start out as a typical sales office. Our roots are a little different, which we think gives us an advantage when it comes to getting the most value for your property. It all began in 1976 when our founder, Alex Zabel, still in his teens, purchased his first investment property. In the 70' and 80's he continued to acquire additional real estate holdings while maintaining various careers and raising a family. Then, in 1990 he left a very successful computer consulting career to devote his time and energy to his true professional passion, "real estate". For the next 10+ years he developed subdivisions, office buildings, commercial build-lease-backs, new home construction, sold real estate and managed a growing real estate portfolio. During this time Zabel Properties and Zabel Holdings, LLC were created to manage and acquire various real estate holdings through out Wisconsin. In 2000 it became obvious that a sales division was needed to serve the growing company. In 2001, Green Lake Real Estate was created with a mission to provide the highest level of real estate services in the market. Green Lake Real Estate has been growing ever since and hasn't looked back.
